- Recommended session duration: at least 30 minutes, maximum 60 minutes.
- The pricing should be based on your existing offerings as well as location factors.

What might an application with the Venen Engel look like on site?
- The room temperature should be comfortable.
- Feel free to provide relaxing music or something to read in the background.
- Consider combining the application with a facial treatment or an upper body massage (e.g., for beauty salons).
- Plan for 5 minutes beforehand and up to 10 minutes after the Venen Engel application.
- The lymphatic system should be activated beforehand.
- Allocate an additional 2 minutes for the correct pressure setting.
- If possible, provide access to a restroom and perhaps something to drink.
- Pay attention to your clients' well-being.
- Clients should wear leggings or thin fabric pants.
- Socks and stockings can be kept on. Support or knitted stockings must be removed before the application and should be put back on immediately afterward.
- The legs should be slightly elevated (see also our vein cushion under accessories).
- Ideally, the client should remain lying down for another 10-15 minutes after the application. This is better for the lymphatic system.
After the application:
- The tubes should remain attached to the cuffs even after the application. Disconnect the cuffs from the compressor at the connector after the application. This way, the air escapes faster, and you can roll up the cuffs without bending the tubes.
Cleaning the cuffs: Ask the client to come with clean jogging pants/leggings and socks to reduce contamination. The cuff can be cleaned with an alcohol-free disinfectant. It is not suitable for cleaning in the washing machine!
What are the differences between the Venen Engel models and programs?
The models mainly differ in the number of air chambers, the number of massage programs, and the adjustment options. You can identify the number of air chambers by the number indicated after the Venen Engel.
The more air chambers the model has, the more effective the massage can be, and the more precisely the pressure points can transport excess tissue water away.
With a higher number of massage programs, blood circulation can be better stimulated, and the skin appearance can be significantly improved.
- The Venen Engel 4 Premium has three massage programs.
- The Premium models (Venen Engel 6 Premium and 8 Premium) are medical devices. They are suitable, among other things, for the treatment of lipedema and lymphedema. These devices transport excess tissue fluids from the legs, improve cell metabolism, and even reduce cellulite with regular use. This is also achieved by allowing you to set up to six different programs. Additionally, the devices contain pressure sensors that allow for precise pressure adjustment.
- With the Venen Engel 12 Premium, you can adjust the pressure for each chamber individually. The interval and hold function allows you to maintain the pressure per chamber longer and set pauses between massage cycles individually.
In the Premium models, chambers can also be deactivated at painful pressure points. For example, if a customer has knee problems, this area can be excluded from the massage at the touch of a button if desired. All Premium models come with a remote control. If you wish to use the remote control, you will need a CR2032 button battery. Due to shipping regulations, we can no longer include a battery. However, the Venen Engel can also be operated directly via the screen.
What do the individual programs mean?
We recommend switching the programs at least 3 times during a session to optimally stimulate circulation and avoid any habituation effect. You can find the program descriptions and download possible program sequences here.

Leg Cuff:

Optimal Fit: The cuff should not be too tight and fits optimally when a flat hand fits between the cuff and the body, allowing the air chambers to unfold best.
If the cuff is very loose, the compression effect can be adjusted with higher pressure.

When should I not use the Venen Engel?
As soothing as compression massage is, not everyone can use it for themselves. Here you can find our medical history form. Before the customer books the appointment or you place them in the Venen Engel, we recommend going through the medical history form and having it signed.
Under certain health conditions, the Venen Engel should not be used or only after consulting a doctor:
- Decompensated heart failure
- Heart performance disorders with water retention in the legs
- Inflammations of the treated body areas, known or suspected leg vein thromboses
- Phlebitis and arterial diseases
- Gangrene
- Dermatitis
- Arteriosclerosis or venous circulatory disorders
- Open, untreated, or infected wounds and injuries
- In case of leg pain
- Skin injuries
- Acute inflammations
- Malignant tumors
- Pulmonary edema
- High blood pressure
- Extensive thrombophlebitis
- Thrombosis or suspected thrombosis
- Erysipelas
- Severe uncontrolled hypertension
