Frequently Asked Questions

Are the InfraGlow products medical devices?

No, all InfraGlow products are purely wellness devices and not medical products. They are solely intended for general well-being and relaxation and are not meant for diagnosing, treating, curing, or preventing diseases.

Who are the InfraGlow products suitable for?

The InfraGlow products are suitable for anyone looking to deeply relax after sports, a yoga session, or a strenuous day, and give their skin a revitalized, well-cared-for appearance. Whether precisely at the desk, as a flexible panel on the door, or as a large full-body mat – the products seamlessly adapt to your personal wellness routine.

How long and how often should the InfraGlow products be used?

A session duration of 10 to 20 minutes (maximum 30 minutes) is recommended, ideally 3 to 5 times a week. Consistency is the key to the best wellness results—longer individual sessions do not necessarily enhance the effect.

When should safety goggles be worn?

When using the light panels (InfraGlow Mini and Pro), wearing the provided protective goggles throughout the entire application is mandatory. Never look directly into the glowing LEDs, as this also applies to invisible near-infrared light. Regular sunglasses do not offer sufficient protection.

What are the contraindications?

Be sure to consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant, have known light sensitivity, are taking photosensitizing medications, suffer from light-triggered conditions (such as epilepsy), have injured or inflamed skin areas, or have impaired heat sensitivity.

Why are some LEDs not lighting up or only very dimly? Is the device defective?

No, the device is not defective. Near-infrared light (NIR, e.g., 810 nm or 850 nm) is outside the visible spectrum of the human eye. It's completely normal for these LEDs to appear off or only faintly glowing during use. If you switch to a program with red light, you will see that the panel is working.

Does the skin need to be uncovered or can you wear clothing?

For optimal absorption of visible red light, it is recommended to apply it to uncovered skin. While near-infrared light can partially penetrate thin fabrics, clothing largely blocks visible red light. For the best results, the light should directly reach the body surface.

Is there a risk of sunburn or skin aging from UV radiation?

No, red light and near-infrared light contain no UV-A or UV-B radiation. They do not cause sunburn, do not lead to skin tanning, and do not damage the skin structure.
