Venen Engel Compression stockings

Indications

• Venen Engel Compression stockings are suitable as an aid for the prevention and supportive treatment of diseases of the venous system as well as lymphoedema and lipoedema.
• They are particularly effective against tired and heavy legs and reduce the formation of oedema in the evening.
• With constant use, they can prevent or at least delay pathological venous insufficiency in predisposed individuals.
• They are suitable for pregnant women and for some forms of initial distal insufficiency of the superficial veins in young or middle-aged people who have to stand a lot or are genetically predisposed.
  

Absolute contra-indications

• Peripheral arterial occlusive disease in an advanced stage
• Severe pathological oedema of the lower limbs
• Septic phlebitis
• Severe thrombosis, such as phlegmasia coerulea dolens
• Inflammation of the lymphatic system
• Peripheral neuropathies in an advanced stage (e.g. due to diabetes mellitus)
• Other leg sensitivity disorders
• Intolerance/allergies to the material of the compression stockings
  

Relative contra-indications

• Ulcers and open wounds
• Weeping dermatoses
• Immobility
• Congestive dermatitis
• Severe valve incontinence of the superficial and deep leg veins
• Deep vein thrombosis or acute thrombophlebitis
• Post-thrombotic syndrome
• In the case of stockings with a silicone edge, skin irritation may occur in the event of an allergy to the material in question

Guarantee

The recommended service life of a medical compression stockings is 6 months if used correctly.

During this period, you are entitled to a guarantee. This means that Venen Engel ensures that the properties guaranteed by the manufacturer in conjunction with the RAL quality mark (e.g. graduated pressure curve) are fulfilled for this period.

Warranty

You also have a statutory warranty claim. According to §§ 437 ff. BGB (German Civil Code), Venen Engel is generally liable for all defects in the product that existed at the time of sale - including those that are only noticed later.

Defects caused by normal wear and tear (e.g. small fibre nodules) or improper use are excluded from the warranty.

Returns and exchanges

You have a full right of return within 30 days of receiving the stockings. If you wish to return or exchange an item, the packaging must be intact and the item must be in the same condition as when you received it. You are welcome to try on the goods. Please note that we do not accept goods that are used, dirty or missing their original packaging. Returns that are not in order or that do not meet these requirements are non-refundable.

Scope of delivery

The delivery includes the Venen Engel compression stockings and a wearing aid.

Care instructions

• You can wash the stockings in the washing machine at 30°C or by hand and then tumble dry.
• Please do not iron the stockings.
• Do not dry clean them.
