In January 2023, I received the diagnosis of lipedema. Months before, I had already been struggling
with water retention, bruising, and pressure pain in my legs and
arms. Not to mention the continuous weight gain without any control.
In the first few months, I found relief through activities like swimming
and cycling, as well as cutting out sugar and wheat. However, even then
I could only slightly reduce the pain, and soon the scale showed
an additional 10 kilos.
In March 2023, I decided to undergo liposuction to fight
against my lipedema. My surgeries in July and September, as well as the
healing process, went smoothly. In this article, I will share my personal
experiences with the Venen Engel and how it influenced my healing process after
my liposuctions.
Liposuction as a Ray of Hope
Liposuction was a ray of hope for me. It is a surgical procedure where excess fatty tissue is suctioned out.
For many people with lipedema, this is the only effective method to alleviate
symptoms and improve quality of life. After comprehensive consultation and extensive research, I decided on liposuction. It promised to bring the long awaited relief,
but I was also aware that the healing process could be lengthy and painful.
The postoperative phase after liposuction is marked by swelling, bruising accompanied by pain. Especially after the surgical procedures, I relied on help. In the first few days after the surgery, I could barely make it to the bathroom on my own. The swelling in my legs caused severe pain. In addition to manual medical lymphatic drainage, I was looking for a solution that could also relieve my suffering at home. This is where the Venen Engel came into play.
The Role of the Venen Engel in My Healing Process
On social media, I gathered information from other content creators about the surgeries and the post-operative phase. During my research, I came across the Venen Engel. The Venen Engel uses a special air pressure technology that gently works on the legs. This external pressure promotes lymphatic drainage, reduces swelling, and improves circulation. What impressed me the most was the possibility of using the Venen Engel comfortably from home. Especially on days when I felt particularly unwell, it provided me with relief. It gave me the feeling that I could also have an influence on my recovery.
Integrating the Venen Engel into Everyday Life
Since my suffering was very intense, I could hardly wait for the delivery of the Venen Engel. The delivery took place within a few days. The device is very compactly packaged and seemed very self-explanatory to me, especially during setup. After the first few uses, I noticed a significant difference. The swelling, especially in my feet, decreased. My calves felt much softer after the third use, and the pain was less intense. Regular use of the device helped me recover faster and become more mobile day by day. I mostly used the Venen Engel in the morning before walking my dog. It provided relief in my legs, and walking additionally promoted muscle activity and thus the drainage in the legs. After long workdays at the desk, I also like to use the Venen Engel in the evening. You can relax and read, listen to an audiobook, or watch TV at the same time.
For me, the Venen Engel offers an effective way to support lymphatic drainage. The gentle, rhythmic air pressure massage promotes the flow of lymph fluid and reduces swelling. This is important not only during recovery after surgery but also as a long-term measure to maintain the results.
Regular use helped me not only with the reduction of pain and swelling but also with the restoration of my quality of life. The fact that I could use the Venen Engel comfortably from home was a great advantage. It meant that I had my recovery in my own hands and was not dependent on constant therapy practices. This gave me back the feeling of control and self-determination, which is very important to me when living with a chronic condition like lipedema.
Long-term Significance of the Venen Engel
