Indications
- Venen Engel compression stockings are suitable as aids for prevention and supportive treatment of venous system disorders as well as lymphoedema and lipoedema.
- They are particularly effective against tired and heavy legs and reduce evening swelling.
- With consistent use, they can prevent or at least delay venous insufficiency in predisposed individuals.
- They are suitable for pregnant women as well as for some forms of initial distal insufficiency of the superficial veins in young or middle-aged people who have to stand a lot or are genetically predisposed.
Absolute Contraindications
- Advanced peripheral arterial occlusive disease
- Severe pathological swelling in the lower limbs
- Septic phlebitis
- Severe thromboses, such as Phlegmasia Coerulea Dolens
- Lymphatic vessel inflammations
- Advanced peripheral neuropathies (e.g., due to diabetes mellitus)
- Other disturbances of leg sensitivity
- Intolerance/allergies to the material of the compression stockings
Relative Contraindications
- Ulcers and open wounds
- Weeping dermatoses
- Immobility
- Stasis dermatitis
- Severe valve incontinence of the superficial and deep leg veins
- Deep vein thrombosis or acute thrombophlebitis
- Post-thrombotic syndrome
- With stockings that have a silicone edge, skin irritations may occur in case of an allergy to the respective material.
Returns and Exchanges

The recommended usage period for a medical compression stocking is, with proper handling, 6 months.
During this period, you are entitled to a warranty. This means Venen Engel ensures that the properties guaranteed by the manufacturer in connection with the RAL quality mark (such as graduated pressure) are met for this period.
Guarantee
In addition, you have a legal right to a guarantee. According to §§ 437 ff. BGB, Venen Engel is generally liable for all defects in the product that existed at the time of sale – even for those that are only noticed later.
Excluded from the guarantee are defects that can arise from normal wear and tear (such as small fiber knots) or improper use.

Putting on compression tights correctly
Here's how to put on your compression tights properly:
- Put on the tights in the morning right after getting up, while your legs are not yet swollen. This way, you achieve the best compression and fit.
- Carefully roll the tights down to the foot, place your foot correctly, and make sure the heel is positioned exactly.
- Pull the material up step by step and distribute it evenly with your palms – do not tug or pull abruptly.
Tip: Using rubber gloves makes putting them on especially easy and gentle on the material.
